Cloud Watching at Enterprise 2.0 in Boston, June 22, 2009

Brenda Michelson continues her live coverage of leading cloud computing events with a stop at Enterprise 2.0 in Boston.  The cloud computing program at Enterprise 2.0 starts with a full day course that promises to “separate the reality from the hype with expert-led talks and panel discussions around enterprise adoption of cloud computing” and concludes with an Evening in the Cloud:

“…leading purveyors of cloud computing will explain how best to leverage your existing IT investments while getting the benefits of the cloud. In addition to provoking discussion, this interactive program will allow you to "invest a virtual $1 million" in the cloud-based solution(s) you believe will give your business the most bang for its buck.”

Michelson’s ‘Cloud Watching’ is part of a broader research strategy to convey and discuss the opportunities, issues and offerings of cloud computing with enterprise architects.  Consistent with the Elemental Links consulting and research philosophy, cloud computing is being considered in the broader context of business, technology, people, and value attainment.

From an enterprise architecture perspective, Michelson is considering the connections between cloud computing and services architecture, business architecture, active information, business-driven IT profiles and IT capability delivery.
